Ham Fried Rice
- A Smile On Your Face!
- 2 cups Water
- 1 T Minced Onion
- 1 1/2 cups Instant Rice
- 3 T Sesame Oil
- 1 (12 oz) package Diced Ham (Found Near Lunch Meat)
- 5 oz Matchstick Carrots (1/2 bag)
- 1 T Sugar
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 3 T Soy Sauce
- 1/2 cup Frozen Peas
Place water and onion in a pot on stove and turn on high to boil.
Cover pot with a lid.
Heat a large skillet on stove and add oil.
Add ham and carrots to skillet in a single layer and let cook until slightly browned on bottom only.
Turn off boiling water in pot and add rice.
Replace lid on pot and let rice steam 5 min.
Add sugar, garlic powder, ginger and soy sauce to ham and carrots.
Push soy sauce around to soften up browning on the skillet and let it incorporate into ham and carrots.
Add peas and rice, stirring well.
10. Cook just until peas are warmed through and any extra water from the rice is cooked in.
