Red Beans and Rice

Ingredients
MORNING INGREDIENTS
- ½ lb Chicken Andouille Sausage Or Similar
- Green Bell Pepper
- 2 (15 oz) cans Kidney Beans
- 2 T Minced Onion
- 2 tsp Garlic Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 cups Water
- 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
- 2 Bay Leaves
EVENING INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups Water
- 2 cups Instant Rice
- 1 tsp Hot Sauce (Or Less)
- Sprig Of Fresh Parsley
Directions
MORNING DIRECTIONS

Slice sausage into coins.

Remove top and seeds from green pepper and pulse in food processor to chop.

Drain beans.

Add all ingredients to crock pot.

Turn on low for 6-10 hours.
EVENING DIRECTIONS

Boil water in a pot with a lid.

Once it boils, turn off heat and add rice.

Let rice steam for 5 minutes.

Stir ingredients in crock pot, smashing a few beans and removing bay leaves when you see them.

Add as much hot sauce as your family likes.

Chop the parsley.

Place rice in bowl and top with sausage/beans and parsley.
